Well it’s been sooooooo long since my last visit. I’ve gone back and read the posts that I’ve missed. I love the pictures you took of the art gallery. My favourites are by Hollie Johnson and the oil paintings by Janaki Lennie are simply stunning. There’s something so simple about them, that you feel like you are there. Markings of a great painting!! I also caught up with the Design Trends 2010. I love Kay Douglas and the Chinese butchers table, also love the piece of black lacquer with the decorative pidgeon holes in it. Along with the pictures of the Asian furniture I enjoyed reading about it and the reasons why you like it so much. I’m afraid I’m not a big fan of it, but always admire the people that include it in a traditional decor or a minimal decor. If done right it can look amazing. I really love those ‘farmhouse’ asian stools. After lusting for them for quite a while I bought one home not long ago, but it just didn’t look right and regretably I had to take it back to the shop. Anyway, better go…kids will be coming home from school and I still have a million things I want to do….oh by the way the package you are sending to Joni looks beautiful..you do know Joni will be walking around on cloud nine when she receives this, if not for the surprise inside, for the wrapping alone. I think when you receive a gift wrapped as beautifully as this, the receiver will be feeling warm and fuzzy and cared for inside!
