Hi!
I am in southern California now with John and the boys. I promised my sister that I would only intermittently check my e-mail, and I have been keeping my promise. I think only 5 times a day is intermittent, don’t you? Of course, it’s spectacularly lovely here, the weather is cool in the mornings and evenings and the daytime is stunning so it’s not like I am bored and NEED to check the e-mail. I just, you know, hear my little phone trill and then I wonder if it’s a super important e-mail that I am willfully ignoring. After a while of studiously ignoring it, I pick up my phone and just glance at my e-mails. Just a quick glance, I promise. And I do NOT have a problem…..Anyway, I am glad that I did check because the lovely folks at Mecox sent me an e-mail that a post that I wrote for them a while ago is going up soon.
Yeah!! I was so excited to be able to write the post. And I did not know for the longest time that Mecox had a blog, but they do, and it’s really lovely. Check it out here. My guys at the Dallas Mecox are amazing and the manager, David Lee is simply the finest human being – ever. I never know what treasure I will find when I wander in. I went to the store before vacation to take some shots to show you and managed to leave the memory card at home. Soon, I promise. In the meantime, enjoy this wonderful vignette from the Dallas store from a few months back.
I am off to a morning walk along the beach. I know, I know, but someone has to do it. I will be back in a few days with tons of photos from here, ideas for new posts, and of course, the post on the new look in the Dallas store. I really think you will like it.

Hi Kristin,
I agree – David Lee is the finest human being ever! One day a few weeks ago, I was perusing Mecox’s offerings, as I am wont to do, and drooling, as I am also wont to do, when suddenly I spotted a side table that I could not live without. It just so happened that said side table was living at the Dallas store, and when I sent the store an email, David replied.
I live in Victoria, Canada, so there would be a fair number of emails and phone calls, as well as a mountain of paperwork, involved in getting said side table from its home in Dallas to my home in Victoria. But David was up for the challenge and was just so nice and so helpful.
Unfortunately, I’ve been forced to live without the side table that I could not live without since it was outside of my price range even before delivery, duty, taxes and exchange. However, I was just so impressed with David that I know I will be buying something from the Dallas Mecox store in the not too distant future.
I hope you’re having a wonderful vacation!
Kristin, you are such a sweetheart! I cannot think of anyone I know who is more deserving of a beautiful, relaxing walk along the beach! Treasure this time. We are still sweltering here at home!!! Can’t wait to see your gorgeous pics….Mecox FOREVER!!!
